Platform 18: A Prohibition Cocktail Train Experience in the Heart of Arcadia

Platform 18 is a 90-minute immersive cocktail experience staged aboard a glamorous, Presidential Pullman-inspired train car in the heart of Arcadia in Phoenix, Arizona. Our current cocktail menu, “Midnight in Harlem,” takes the guest through an evening out in the roaring twenties of New York City. Every guest is encouraged to choose cocktails from themed sections to create their perfect evening, paired with Dom Perignon and Caviar if you’re feeling fancy, or roll your way through a Red Velvet Manhattan and a small side of Dutch Chocolate boozy ice cream. The subtle elegance, refined service and charming environment make every choice easy, and makes every experience your own.

Our Process

Behind the Scenes: Elegant Cocktails 101

Each one of our cocktails is not simply mixed, they’re designed. We consider what our guests enjoy drinking, we consider what ingredients are gaining attention across the nation, we research history and we focus on the most important part of any cocktail menu: Does this taste wonderful? Does this excite the guest to crave another one? We rely heavily on curiosity to inform our adventure; and we rely on our guests to enjoy the ride.

Our current favorite curiosities include “The West Side Cowboy” mixing Texas bourbon, homemade pecan honey and fresh grapefruit and “Beware the Paparazzi” featuring Bergamot infused vodka, strawberry honey, paprika and lemon. Craveworthy. Noteworthy. Satisfaction Guaranteed.

Tonight we celebrated our friend’s birthday with a train ride through Prohibition-era Harlem. The curators of our experience, Blaze and Raquel, were wonderful stewards of the evening. They went above and beyond to make the experience extra special for our group, and their attention to detail did not go unnoticed.
